Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-12

This policy explains what information GameSpace News, run by James Penwill, trading as KreaOps ("we", "us"), collects through the gamespace.news website and through the GameSpace News app, the private tool we use to make and publish our content, and how it's used. James Penwill, trading as KreaOps is the controller of this information. You can reach us at kreaops.ai@gmail.com.

Visiting the website

  • The public website has no user accounts, and uses no analytics, advertising trackers or cookies of its own.
  • Video thumbnails are loaded from YouTube's image servers, which receive your IP address like any image request. A video only loads from YouTube when you press play on it. It then plays in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube's privacy policy applies to it, including anything YouTube stores on your device.
  • Like any website, our hosting provider (currently Railway) processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in its server logs.
  • If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply.

Connected platform accounts

The GameSpace News app connects to our own accounts on platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Reddit and Instagram using each platform's official sign-in (OAuth). We never ask for or store account passwords.

  • We store the access and refresh tokens each platform issues, and use them only to publish our content and read basic account information and our own videos' statistics.
  • Tokens are kept until the account is disconnected, and can be removed at any time from the GameSpace News app or by revoking access in the platform's settings.

TikTok

The GameSpace News app connects only to our own TikTok account, using TikTok's Login Kit and Content Posting API. From TikTok we receive our account's open ID and display name, and permission to upload our own videos to that account's drafts (scopes user.info.basic and video.upload). We use this only to show which account is connected and to send our finished videos to it. We don't access any other TikTok user's data. We delete the tokens when the account is disconnected, and access can also be revoked in TikTok's app settings.

YouTube

The GameSpace News app uses YouTube API Services to publish our videos to our own channel, read our channel's analytics, and read public video information for topic research. Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) applies to that data. Access can be revoked at any time at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Public YouTube data we store for trend research is deleted after 30 days.

Topic discovery

To decide what to cover, the GameSpace News app collects publicly available information about news and trending content. Its sources are official platform APIs (such as YouTube and Twitch), the public news feeds websites publish (RSS), Google News search results and the GDELT news index. From these it reads things like headlines, links, publication names, public channel or creator names and view counts. We use it to research, verify and credit topics, not to build profiles of individuals.

Content and operational records

  • Titles, summaries, AI-generated analysis, scripts and video files created while making our content.
  • Job records showing which automations ran, when, and their outcome, kept for troubleshooting.
  • The GameSpace News app itself sets one essential sign-in cookie, only for its owner. The public website sets none itself (see "Visiting the website" for videos you choose to play).

Why we use information

  • Running and protecting the website, researching topics, and making and publishing our content: our legitimate interest in operating a news and media business.
  • Replying to your email and handling rights or privacy requests: our legitimate interest in answering you, or a legal obligation where one applies.
  • Our own platform accounts: necessary to use the services we've signed up to.

How long we keep it

  • Emails: as long as needed to deal with your message, and no longer than 2 years.
  • Public YouTube data used for trend research: 30 days.
  • Platform tokens: until the account is disconnected.
  • Content records and published videos: while the content stays published.
  • Hosting logs: as set by our hosting provider.

Services we use

We use these services to run GameSpace News. Each has its own privacy policy for data sent to it:

  • OpenAI: AI analysis, script writing, narration and images.
  • fal.ai: AI presenter video and music.
  • Railway: hosting, database and file storage.
  • Discord: internal notifications about our own systems.
  • YouTube, TikTok, Twitch and the other platforms above: discovery and publishing.

Transfers outside Europe

Some of these providers are based in the United States, so information may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the provider offers, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent personal information.
  • We don't use connected-account access for anything beyond discovering topics, publishing our content and reading its statistics.

Your rights

Under data protection law (including the GDPR), you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. You can also ask us to restrict how it's used, or object to how it's used. Email kreaops.ai@gmail.com and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie) or to your local data protection authority.

Children

The website isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We'll update this policy when what we collect or how we use it changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
